Important Announcement from VolunteerConnect’s Board of Trustees

As a valued supporter of VolunteerConnect, the VolunteerConnect Board of Directors would like to inform you of an important upcoming change within the organization. As of November 28, 2018, Amy Klein will be leaving the organization after seven years as Executive Director. Her decision was a personal one, based on a desire to be closer to family on the West Coast.

In collaboration with Amy, one of Princeton’s most highly respected nonprofit leaders, the Board of Directors anticipates a smooth transition. Her departure comes at a time of financial stability and strength for the nonprofit organization. During the transition, board members will oversee management and provide guidance for specific areas within the organization. An interim executive director will be announced in the near future.

“It is with both sadness and gratitude that we announce this news,” says Dennis Kilfeather, Chairman of the Board, VolunteerConnect. “We will miss Amy’s leadership, vision and her ability to make strategic connections with central New Jersey nonprofit organizations. She successfully launched the skills-based volunteerism movement in New Jersey, including nonprofit board training for individuals and corporations and short-term pro bono impact projects.”

For her effective, long-standing community efforts, Ms. Klein was named the 2017 “Community Leader of the Year” by the Princeton Regional Chamber. “Amy leaves VolunteerConnect with strong financials, a clear strategic plan and an energized Board of Directors,” says Nancy Robins, founder of VolunteerConnect. “Amy has attracted top talent to VolunteerConnect and helped us strengthen the foundation from which we will continue to grow.”

The Board thanks our many supporters and strategic partners who have contributed to the growth of the organization. Amy has set up VolunteerConnect for long-term success and her vision will continue under new leadership.

Please join us in wishing Amy the best in her new home.

Best regards,
The VolunteerConnect Board of Directors
