NonProfitConnect Welcomes Three New Members to Board of Trustees

NonProfitConnect is thrilled to welcome Utpal Kapadia, Emily Deadwyler and Brian Whitlock to the NonProfitConnect board of trustees.  These three new board members bring their extensive strategic planning expertise that will be key as NonProfitConnect to continues to advance our work.

Utpal Kapadia is an IT executive with over 30 years of global experience working in USA, India, and Japan. He has extensively worked within BFSI domain with fortune 500 clients. He founded SKAPS solutions with a vision to bring all his learnings, experience and network, to serve small businesses, startups in early stage and nonprofit organizations, with a mission to help them with access to the same kind of expertise and resources that fortune 500 companies leverage for success. SKAPS offers advisory and implementation services at a very affordable cost to help them with strategic planning, transformation & optimization, and out-reach. 

Utpal has been actively involved in charity and volunteering work within local communities and global initiatives. He is an engineer with a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications from the University of Mumbai. He is also professionally trained by KMPG for CMM assessment for IT firms and has assessed Patni Computers (Capgemini), a global IT services firm at CMM level IV.

Emily Deadwyler is an award-winning marketing executive with over 25 years of experience in multiple industries and companies large and small – from start-ups to Fortune 100 firms.  

 In her most recent roles, she was the Chief Marketing Officer of a software company and ADP Small Business Services.  She was also a key member of the marketing leadership team that grew FOREX.com from VC backed start-up to a publicly traded global company.  Early in her career, Emily launched Comcast’s Small Business product suite. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. 

Brian Whitlock is the Vice President of the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement R&D organization at Bristol Myers Squibb. He leads a global team of procurement professionals responsible for delivering value through innovative sourcing solutions and optimal supplier relationships as strategic partners to the business. In this role, his accountability encompasses all phases of the R&D lifecycle including research, clinical development, real-world data/evidence, and health economics & outcomes research. 

Brian joined Bristol Myers Squibb in 2015. Prior to his current position, he started his career in healthcare at Covance Laboratories Inc., holding positions of increasing responsibility in the Early Development business division. Thereafter, Brian furthered his career at Amgen Inc. where he held positions in the Global Strategic Sourcing and Comparative Biology & Safety Science divisions. Brian earned a BSc in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry from George Mason University, Virginia. He also has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
